WAKE COUNTY -- Christmas came early for a Wake County school bus driver.
Up until recently, Latoya O'Neal was homeless with six children and owed more than $700 for a storage unit.
On Thursday, the company Self Storage Solutions waived the fees to give O'Neal her possessions to make her new house a home.
O'Neal was surprised by both the company and coworkers who helped her pack.
"It's a blessing, it was a huge surprise. I haven't told my kids, they're going to be so surprised when they come home and see that we have all of our stuff back," she said.
Self Storage Solutions also surprised O'Neal with another gift: a Christmas tree for her and her family.
Putting together O'Neal's gift was a true community effort. All American Relocation provided the moving truck and movers, and the Garner Optimist Club gave the family a Christmas tree.
