CHARLOTTE—News 14 Carolina Cooking At Home host Dan Eaton helped start the festivities of the Time Warner Cable Barbecue and Blues Festival.
It is the largest festival of its kind in the southeast. Nearly 100 teams will crank up their grills and serve up their best barbecue creations for a chance to win money and bragging rights. Dan Eaton was already scoping out his favorite eats.
“I've always been a fan of pulled pork. It just really satisfies me. I love it,” said Eaton.
If people visit the festival Saturday, they can also catch News 14 Carolina meteorologist Doug Lindsay at the Time Warner Cable booth from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The festival continues until 11 p.m. at the North Carolina Music Factory. Admission is free but parking is $5 a car.
Time Warner Cable is the parent company of News 14 Carolina.
