DURHAM -- Home and vehicle break-ins are on the rise in Durham County.

Sheriff Mike Andrews says since September there have been nearly 20 incidents in the northwestern part of the county, particularly around the intersection of Guess and Milton Roads.

"The back doors have been kicked in and then we had a number of larcenies where people's automobiles have been entered," said Sheriff Andrews.

Authorities arrested Justin Williams, 22, in connection to one of the cases. Sheriff Andrews says his deputies are looking for more suspects. He is also asking residents to be extra vigilant and make sure their doors are locked. ClientIP: UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
