CHARLOTTE -- Many people are already suffering from seasonal allergies and spring hasn't even officially begun.
Allergist Caroline Hobbs says pollen season is in full swing. She says she's already busy with many patients looking for relief.
Hobbs says Americans spend $2 billion to $4 billion a year taking care of allergy symptoms.
Tree pollen is the biggest allergy in the spring.
"One thing that's so wonderful about Charlotte and this region is that we have such beautiful foliage and wonderful trees, but yes, it comes as a price to some," said Dr. Hobbs.
Hobbs says if you suffer from allergies, keep your windows in your home and car closed.
Also, change clothes as soon as you get home and wash your hands and face often to get rid of the pollen.
