RALEIGH—It was an exciting weekend on the gridiron at N.C. State University, as the Wolfpack stole a dramatic last-minute win over the Florida State Seminoles, with a final score of 17 to 16.

This was a big upset over the number three ranked Florida State Seminoles at Carter Finley Stadium, but the Wolfpack didn't really show up for the first part of the game. No points were on the board on the Wolfpack's part until the second half.

E.J. Manuel and FSU's tough offense jumped to a 16 to zero lead at halftime, but quarterback Mike Glennon turned that around with 259 passing yards in the second half.

A fourth and goal with 19 seconds left in the game had N.C. State fans going crazy, hoping for a win.

Glennon found Bryan Underwood to tie up the game at 16-16 and then take the lead for the first time all game with the ensuing extra point.

The big win put the Wolfpack to four and two on the season, but could kill any hopes of an ACC team in the National Championship game.

FSU now falls to five and one.

Coach Tom O'Brien piled on the praise after the game.

“What a great effort, great job by coaching staff, great effort by kids, shut them out in the second half, explosive offense as that is, scored with no time left so they couldn't beat us, played out perfect,” said O'Brien.

This game wrapped up an altogether exciting weekend for N.C. State, as their inaugural athletic hall of fame class was honored Friday night. including basketball coaching legend Jim Valvano.

The football team hopes to keep their momentum going, as they have a bye week and then square off against Maryland in a conference game.
