TAMPA -- Fitting their name, it was a grand old party at the GOP Convention in Tampa as Republican delegates dressed in different attire came united for the same cause on the floor.

No matter where you turned, from Hawaiian leis to Wisconsin cheeseheads, few Republicans were shy or subtle in their attire.

"Right now, we're living in a cheesehead revolution. We've got leaders like Scott Walker, Paul Ryan." said Sol Grosskopf, a Wisconsin delegate.

There is a rhyme and reason for this mix of big hats and bright outfits on the floor of the RNC. For most delegates, their flair is a source of pride for their respective states.

"There's a camraderie that the delegations get from their state. It kind of reminds me of military units," New Mexico delegate Rick Morlen said.

Col. Oscar Poole, a Georgia alternate delegate, stood out in yellow and soaked in his first convention experience.

"I feel awesome,” he said. “I feel this is where the action is. I hope what we are having with this convention is a prelude to victory in november.”

Texas appears the most unified in their attire as all of the delegates were wearing the same cowboy hats and shirts, which change every night of the convention. ClientIP: UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
