CHARLOTTE -- The oval office has moved to uptown Charlotte. A full-size replica was set up at Trade and Tryon streets to announce the upcoming arrival of the "American Presidential Experience" Tuesday.

Starting next month, residents and visitors will be able to see the exhibit during the Democratic National Convention. It's owned by North Carolina native Jim Warlick, who has spent most of his life acquiring the historical artifacts

Center city leaders say the non-partisan tribute contains more than 35 displays and is the largest traveling exhibit dedicated to presidential history.

The American Presidential Experience will be in uptown Charlotte from Aug. 31 through Sept. 8.
