CHARLOTTE -- More arrests are coming and more than 16 people are already in jail following a drug and prostitution bust Wednesday in Charlotte. Officers launched an ongoing investigation in September after complaints from neighbors about drug and prostitution activity at the Brookshire Inn Motel.
Investigators believe as much as $25,000 worth of crack cocaine was sold from the motel each week. That doesn't include sales of heroin, ecstasy and marijuana.
Investigators say 12 of the arrests encompassed the Brookshire Inn and BP gas station and three suspects with indictments were located and arrested.
Cocaine and marijuana were seized as well as a GPS from one of the rooms.
