GREENSBORO – Sheriff's deputies in Randolph County have arrested a man in connection with the largest drug bust in the county's history.

Bobby Finley, of Trinity, is charged with trafficking more than 2,800 pounds of marijuana with a street value of nearly $3 million.

The drugs were found in an abandoned tractor-trailer on someone's property last March. Investigators say someone likely drove the truck up from Mexico, unhooked the trailer and drove away, leaving it behind for others to take what they need and leave.

Finley is being held on $50,000 bond. Deputies say the investigation is ongoing and expect additional charges to be filed. ClientIP: UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
