ALBEMARLE, N.C. -- Justin Burr won the Republican primary runoff against Ken Furr Tuesday night for the State House District 67 seat.

Of the 2,200 total ballots cast, Burr pulled in 58 percent of the vote.

Since there is no Democratic candidate in the race, the 22-year-old will become the youngest member in the state legislature next year.

District 67 represents Stanly, western Montgomery and northern Union counties.
