Early voting begins for May 6 primary election

The May primary for this year's mid-term election is less than two weeks away, but early voting begins Thursday across North Carolina and ends on May 3. Voters can decide on the U.S. Senate and Congressional races. 7:23 AM

NC Department of Labor issues citations in Vortex incident

The Department of Labor is issuing thousands of dollars in fines for the incident on the Vortex ride at the State Fair that sent five people to the hospital. The state issued the citations late Wednesday morning based on its investigation.
